We spent a Pday with the elders in downtown Mobile at the Exploreum Science center. The new My Bodyworks exhibit proved to be a bit too exciting for some of the elders as you can see they could hardly contain themselves when we first arrived and it was difficult to get them to pose for a group picture!
The kids were able to join us and had fun pretending to be local weather forecasters for the Channel 5 news. If you look at the top of the picture you can see them on a tv screen which looks like they are pointing at some rough weather headed our way!
Even Lisa got into our Exploreum visit! She tried her hand at the pulley to see if she was strong enough to lift her own weight. Apparently she is...
No...Elder Holmoe did not suffer during this picture taking. Its just one of the displays that show mirror imaging and how we can fool others into thinking we have all lost our heads!
Elder Rigby enjoined the out of body experience a little bit more than Holmoe did!
Elder Smith trying his hand at the stringless Harp! He sounded pretty good! The harp plays magically when you pass your fingers past an array of laser beams that tell the harp which notes to play! It was pretty amazing!
Not too bad when you can have the entire IMAX theatre all to yourselves! We watched a movie about the Grand Canyon and Lake Powell areas of the Western United States. Watching it made some of the elders from that area a bit homesick!

Jessica tried her hand at working off calories consumed by a basic fast food hamburger! She was surprised at how fast she needed to go to work off that many calories!!!
Jessica and Kenny were able to create their own rollercoaster ride at one of the exhibits in the Exploreum. Then the inputted it into a computer and were able to "experience" it first hand!
From the looks on their faces, this rollercoaster design must have been a winner!

As a family we attended the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House in South Jordan, Utah. It was the first time my children were able to attend an open house and walk all the way through a temple! Here they are with their cousins!
The weather was cool and you can see the dark clouds looming, but the crowds were light and it was the perfect evening to attend an Open House!
This had to be one of the best parts about the Temple Open House! The hospitality tent! Free cookies and lots of fun displays to enjoy!
